A youth resident of village Nayabans of Kotwali Hathras Gate area posted on Instagram in the early hours of May 26 that he had rat poison in his hand to burn his friends. On receiving the information, Kotwali Hathras Gate police reached his house while searching for the youth and counselled him.
A 19-year-old youth, a resident of village Nayabans, had posted on the social media platform Instagram in the early hours of May 26, that he was holding a poisonous rat poison in his hand to burn his friends. Social Media Cell Hathras received information from the Headquarters Social Media Cell Lucknow that a post has been posted on Instagram about a youth committing suicide by consuming a poisonous substance.
Media Cell Hathras informed CAO City and Inspector in charge of Hathras Gate Police Station. Hathras Gate Police Station reached the spot and searched for the youth based on the location obtained with the help of electronic surveillance. Police talked to the youth and found out his mental condition.
The youth said that he had posted the post jokingly to tease his friends. He will not do this in future. CO City Ram Pravesh Rai and Kotwali Hathras in-charge Satendra Singh Raghav counselled the youth in front of his parents. The youth pledged not to do any such incident in future. The youth was handed over to his family.
